Went diving on the Almirante this weekend looking for some lobsters. Got a couple small guys, but nothing to take home. Was temp was 59, viz was horrible at 5-10ft. A lot of silt from all the high tides lately.
Just picked up an old 28′ Wellcraft. My hopes are to re-do the boat in a fishing and dive boat with my cousins and brother in law. It has a huge bow. I will need to fab a custom ladder and racks but with a little TLC it will be a nice boat to get to the cape may reef wrecks…
Took the boat to the Cape Mayh Inlet and speared a couple 27″ flukes… Viz was only about 10ft but it was a beautiful day for diving. Air temp was 74, bottom temp was 55 deg.
